HOW THE WALL WORKS.

Untilt raises a timed wall with Apple's Screen Time technology, entirely on this iPhone. One hold restricts a maintained set of 50 known wagering apps and 50 gambling websites — apps and sites together — until the end time you chose, then releases automatically. No account, no proxy, no server reading your activity. This page documents the mechanism, the curation, and — deliberately — every known way around it.

The mechanism

When you approve Screen Time access, iOS grants Untilt Apple’s own restriction machinery — the same system-level enforcement behind parental controls. While a wall is up, the covered apps become unavailable and the covered websites stop loading, on this iPhone, with the block applied on-device. There is no Untilt server in the path, which is why the wall behaves identically on Wi-Fi and cellular. One documented side effect, disclosed rather than discovered: Apple’s web filter turns off Safari private browsing for the life of the wall.

Why exactly 50 + 50

Apple caps what one app may restrict: up to 50 applications and 50 web domains at a time. Most tools don’t mention the ceiling; we’d rather explain the budget than imply infinity. Untilt spends all hundred entries on the doors that matter — US sportsbooks, DFS pick’em, prediction markets, odds tools, and the common offshore books — across the operators listed here. Curation is the product: when the market shifts, the list shifts with an app update.

Honest disclosure: the ways around the wall

No consumer tool on a phone you own can be impossible to defeat, and any blocker claiming otherwise is marketing at you. The known paths, plainly: revoking the permission — iOS lets a phone’s owner dig into Settings and pull Screen Time access; that path stays open because Apple, correctly, keeps owners in charge of their own devices. Deleting the app is resisted while a wall is active — a real barrier, not an absolute one. Another device — laptop, iPad, someone else’s phone — is outside this wall entirely. A book we haven’t listed loads until it ships in an update. In person — a casino or a retail window — is a different problem than the one this tool solves.

Design position: each of those paths costs minutes, and minutes are the whole game. Urges crest and recede; a wall that turns a one-tap bet into a multi-step project outlasts most of them. That is the honest claim — serious friction, precisely when you asked for it, never magic. And leaving a long wall through the front door is engineered friction too: a 24-hour wait, then a 15-second hold. For the layers this tool can’t cover: self-exclusion and the helpline below.

Update cadence and corrections

Coverage releases ship with app updates and are stamped sitewide. Operator pages cite operators’ own help documentation and are reviewed as their programs change. Found an error — a stale claim, a missing operator, an operator tool we’ve described wrong? Write support@tryuntilt.com; corrections ship.

Questions

Does Untilt see my browsing?

No. Blocking is enforced on the device by Apple's Screen Time technology, and the permission works one way: Untilt can restrict the covered apps and sites, and it cannot read your Screen Time activity, app usage, bets, or browsing history. No account, no server in your traffic path.

Who curates the coverage list?

We do, continuously — sportsbooks, DFS pick'em operators, prediction markets, odds tools, and the offshore books people actually drift to, across their apps and web domains. Updates ship with the app.

Why publish the ways around the wall?

Because you already know them, and pretending otherwise would cost the only thing a tool like this runs on: trust. The wall's job is to be slower to defeat than an urge is to pass. Stated plainly, that's a bet the wall usually wins.
